Elena Gallen, born in 1984, lives and works in Barcelona. Artist and designer. Someone who has made Spains fashion world fall at her feet, even though what she’s doing is kinda creepy if you think about it.
With a strong cinematic influence and an in-depth knowdledge of technologies and trend hunting she co-directs FUEGO, an exquisite bizarre art fanzine and develops avantgarde client work for institutions and individuals. Her work is vanguardist without claiming “look at me, i am the future”.
Versatile and self-taught, Gallen has been accused of “transvesting” reality. Part of the underground scene, the character embodied by the artist became outstanding beyond her creations.
Her artwork has been exhibited in Spain, France and Australia and featured in fashion magazines such as Nylon, Vice, Marie Claire, Glamcult or Tendencias; and her label has retailers among high-end boutiques and concept stores in Barcelona, Paris, Naples, St. Denis de la Reunion, Moscow, Riyadh or Taiwan.
